We still care about your comfort...

At Wolfville Dentistry, we strive to make your visit as relaxing as possible.  Here are the protocols you can expect:

Masking and appointment protocols

If you have any active flu/cold symptoms (new or worsening congestion, cough, sore throat, fever) that are not allergy-related, we ask that you reschedule your appointment. If you arrive at your appointment with active symptoms we will likely have to reschedule you.

According to Nova Scotia Provincial Dental Board regulations, patients are no longer required to be wearing a mask to enter the clinic.

We will continue to ask that you do a 30-second mouth rinse prior to starting your appointment.  This allows us to start our work in a relatively clean environment, therefore keeping our team safe.  Our rinse is a mint or berry-flavoured cetylpyridinium chloride-based rinse which is a safe, and effective oral disinfectant.  If you prefer, you can opt for a diluted hydrogen peroxide/water rinse.

Please note: Everyone on our team has been fully vaccinated.

Where do I wait for my appointment?

Our front door will remain closed, but is no longer locked so you are welcome to come in and have a seat in the waiting room.  The only time that the door will be locked is when we are having a staff meeting (and therefore there is no one at the front desk).  Please note: we have a morning meeting everyday from 8:45 - 9:00am.

What will things look like (including us!)?

How different we look will depend on what services are being provided during your visit.  The front desk staff are no longer required to wear masks, but all practitioners (dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants) will still wear ASTM medical masks when interacting with patients.  Practitioners will still wear gowns when doing work that produces aerosols from your mouth.

Disinfecting protocols are still of the highest standard and all our rooms and surfaces are disinfected between patients.  This includes our debit machine at the front desk.
Sanitizer is still throughout the clinic for your use.
