Our beloved team member Jane Mangle officially "packed in her hygiene instruments" on Thursday, May 31st! Jane started her hygiene career in Public Health on beautiful Cape Breton, 44 years ago. Her career took her from there to the US, back to Canada and then home to Nova Scotia. She spent the majority of her career working in the town of Wolfville, where she raised her family and became a leader in her community.
Like us, our patients understand what an amazing person Jane is. It is rare to find a person with such grace, humility, wisdom, and humour - and when you do, it is VERY difficult to say good bye! However, she will be forever a part of "Wolfville Dentistry" and our team. So much of her wisdom has been woven into our daily routines, and philosophies! In fact, it is her delicate calligraphy that documents our "office philosophy" that hangs in our clinic.
We had a great celebration party on Saturday, June 16th! Throughout the afternoon patients and the greater community had a chance to drop by and share a snack and drink with the Wolfville Dentistry team, Jane, and her family. Then (as we love to do!) we shared a great meal at the Port Pub and later returned to the party to dance the night away to "The Sundries" live band! It was a perfect celebration of a fantastic person who will be missed dearly in our work family!
The many women, past and present, who have worked together with Jane over the years!
